Rodney Bay, Gros Islet

We highly recommend finding a place to stay in RODNEY BAY area (located in Gros Islet district, north of the island) for the following reasons:

easy to get a taxi as it is a busy touristy area

proximity (10-15mins taxi drive to wedding ceremony and reception venue)

walking distance or short driving distance to a beach, shops, cafes, bars, marina, grocery stores, and restaurants

a wide range of hotels, villas, and Airbnb that cater to all budgets

GETTING THERE

By Flight

Fly in through the main international airport: Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF)

South end of the island
approx. 1+ hour drive to North end of island where the wedding festivities are

Fly in through the smaller regional airport: George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU)

North end of the Island
also known as the Vigie Airport
this airport is closer to the wedding festivities

From the airport, by Car

From the Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF), it is about a little over an 1 hour drive to Rodney Bay area in Gros Islet district.

From the George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU), it is about 20mins drive to Rodney Bay area in Gros Islet district.

Once You're There

Although many of St. Lucia's roads are paved, most are extremely windy and hilly. Vehicles travel on the left-hand side of the road, as they do in the UK.

It is for these reasons that Chris and Anthony will provide their guests with complimentary SHUTTLE SERVICE from BOTH airports to your place of stay. We will coordinate with you eventually regarding your flight arrivals and accommodation location to best align with the shuttle schedules.
